Welcome to the 2012 Survival Association
Welcome to our site. Be sure to visit our Survival Store for all of your Survival Gear needs. We are currently recruiting members to join our group. It is our intention to survive the coming cataclysm. After much research we have determined that the safest place to be is at sea. On the ocean we will be safe from earthquakes, flooding, fire, tsunami.... In short most any disaster is more easily survived when you are at sea. We have access to free/cheap boats and ships, but we need people to claim them. We also need members that can contribute time, money, skills, supplies, weapons(for self defense), or expertise. We are most in need of people with medical skills: Nurses, EMTs, Doctors, former military Medics... We also are in need of people that either have seafaring skills, or are willing to learn them. The plan is for The United States Chapter to meet a couple of weeks before December 21st 2012 and head out into the Gulf of Mexico. Once we are at sea, we will form a fleet of our vessels and wait until the worst is over. We are recruiting members from all over the world. We will coordinate a time and place to meet up with other fleets of members. If you are interested in joining us, please go to the Contact Us page and send us a message. We will respond to all messages including those just looking for more information. If you are looking for Survival Supplies, either click the link , or visit the Survival Store page. We look forward to hearing from you. If you have any suggestions on how to improve our page, just message us and let us know.
Mayan Prophecy
Says that a new age/ world is coming. Are you prepared to survive??
The first thing you will need to do is to start assembling a survival emergency kit. Not every item on the list is necessary, but most are very important. You will need to decide for yourself what you can and need to take. This list is a growing thing. If you have suggestions for items please let us know.

While it may be possible to do so, it may also be either impractical, or impossible due to weather conditions, or other circumstances.

All of these things can be found at the Survival Store link above.
After you have assembled your survival kit, you will need to decide where you are going to be. Will you stay at home? Will you go to the forest or the mountains? Or will you go to sea like us? What ever you decide, make sure that you either have your supplies ready to go, or already in place. (Do not leave your supplies in a location unless it is secure!!) Make sure that you have either built a survival shelter, or have adequate portable shelters for the environment that you have chosen. Make sure that you have allowed enough time to travel to your chosen location.

So It's the end of the world??
No. Actually the Mayan Prophecy does not say that it is the end of the world, but rather the begining of a new world. Unfortunately; it says that when the old age ends and the new one begins, there will be great destruction and cataclysm. This means that we must be prepared for the worst. We are putting together this survival group to do just that prepare for the worst.
What is Mayan Prophecy?
The first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, an advanced MesoAmerican race that were experts at building highly accurate astronomical equipment out of stone.
Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the current age will end on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 Am. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it’s likely they’ve got the end of the world right as well.
The ancient Maya civilization Predicted the 26,000 calendar year cycle to be specifically consisted of 5 smaller cycles, each having 5,125 years. Each of these 5 cycles were believed having its own World Age or Creation Cycle. As depicted on the familiar, circular MesoAmerican Sun Stone, (often called the Aztec Calendar) each Creation Cycle is said to have been ruled and destroyed by one of 5 elements.
Our present great cycle spanning(3113 B.C. - 2012 A.D.) is called the Age of the Fifth Sun. This time period is ruled by Earth. This fifth age is the synthesis of the previous four. Earth (called Caban in the Maya language and Ollin in Aztec) has several meanings, including: movement, shift, evolution, earthquake, navigation, and synchronicity.

The Mayan Calendar
The Mayan calendar is not actually a single calendar that Westerners are used to referencing today. It is actually a complex system of multiple calendars used in conjunction. Two calendars used in conjunction are the Tzolk’in and the Haab. The Tzolk’in calendar consists of 260 days. The Haab consists of 365 days. The combined use of these calendars creates a cycle of 52 Haabs (52 years) and is referred to as the Calendar Round. Small cycles of 13 days (Trecena) and 20 days (veintena) exist as well.
Another calendar used to track longer periods of time is referred to as the Long Count. This calendar is used to track dates relative to each other on a linear scale and utilizes a numeric decimal system to record dates. For example, the Mayan date for December 21, 2012 is 13.0.0.0.0. The long count cycle referred to as the “Great Cycle” lasts for 5,125.36 years. Correlating that to the Gregorian calendar used by most people in the world today, the starting date of the current long count cycle is August 11, 3,114 B.C.
Another interesting cycle is the precession of the equinoxes lasting approximately 26,000 years. The long count of 5,125 years is 1/5 of that cycle. December 21, 2012 marks the end of the Long Count and Precession Cycle. A fascinating astronomical occurrence will take place that day. The sun will be seen in a conjunction with the crossing point of the galactic equator and the ecliptic which is referred by the Mayans as the Sacred Tree. Since this is due to take place on the winter solstice, this should provide clear evidence that the proper end day of the Mayan calendar is December 21, 2012. Some say December 22nd, 23rd or even other dates. However, the solstice was an important day to the Mayans and it is logical to think that they would conclude their calendar cycle on this day, coupled with the fact of the rare astronomical occurrence set to take place that day.
Overall, the Mayan calendar system is amazing and complex. It is the most accurate calendar system ever invented by anyone.
